Each Can+ module can be delivered with different input/output and daisy-chained off the CAN bus. So, for instance, a CAN+ module could be added via the CAN bus to a VDL to provide two additional digital inputs, a zero crossing detector (for RPM monitoring) and a serial port.
Additional CAN+ modules can be added to this configuration to expand the input/output even further, say addition of RS485 and analogue inputs.
